Fuji 16-55 f2.8 weight

Fuji 16-55 f2.8 weight-Recently Fujifilm opened the door for photographers to have greater choice in a wide prime and released the Fujifilm XF 16mm f/28 This neat little prime lens is half the size, weight and cost of its older sibling yet still delivers great image quality and exceptional autofocus I prefer the smaller prime lenses that Fujifilm have recently released to provide more choice over similar focalThe Fuji 1655 is the same 28 from 16 to 55 While the Fuji 1855 is f/28 only at the 18mm end, when you twist and go to 55 it goes to f/4 When zooms are not constant apertures, and you twist the barrel the exposure WILL change because it is slower at the 55 end It is not the case with the 1655, it's a fast 28 from 16 to 55

But the XF 1655mm is big enough it is 328″ (3mm) in diameter, carrying a 77mm filter size, and weighs in at 144lb (655g) The full name of the lens is Fujinon XF 1655mm f/28 R LM WR Lens If you don't speak Fuji, here's what those initials mean  As I mentioned at the start, the XF 1655mm f28 is one of the larger XF lenses, measuring mm in diameter, 106mm in length and weighing 655g This makes it significantly chunkier than the XF 1855mm f284 kit zoom, which measures 65x70mm and weighs just less than half the amount at 310g  In another post, I (sheepishly) learned I can only shoot f/28 at 18mm on my 1855mm Weight and price differences aside, I wonder if the 1655mm is worth the upgrade over the 1855 Does the ability to shoot f/28 balance out the fact that the 1655 does not have OIS?

If you choose to manually focus with the lens, a focus scale is provided inside the viewfinder or on the rear LCD of Fuji cameras XT1 XF1655mmF28 R LM WR @ 6mm, ISO 0, 1/210, f/56 At 655 grams, the XF 1655mm f/28 is a heavy lens When mounted on the Fuji XT1 camera body, it certainly makes the setup quite frontheavy A flexible workhorse of a lens, the XF 1655mm f/28 R LM WR from FUJIFILM is a versatile standard zoom spanning a 2484mm equivalent, wideangle to portraitlength range Characterized by its bright f/28 constant maximum aperture, this lens is adept in difficult lighting conditions and also offers notable control over depth of field It also is a constant f/28 lens, so adds an additional stop of light at 55mm vs the 1855mm The 1655mm f/28 is a solidly built professionalgrade lens with weathersealing, but controversially lacks optical image stabilization The 1655mm is a large lens, weighing in at nearly double the weight of the 1855mm, at 655g
